Four runners in the final stretch of the 2025 Spring Run the Farm!

We had a photo-perfect day for the 2nd running of Spring Run the Farm. This is the 15th time that Run the Farm has been held (2 times in the spring and 13 times in the fall!)

Thank you all for coming out and making it a special day.

We hope you will return next time – we have early registration open for Fall Run the Farm October 19th!

412 runners crossed the finish line between the three races. The two combined kids races had 199 finishers for the day.

If you see any missing results or discrepancies, please reach out via our Contact Form or email runthefarm@gmail.com.

5 Miler Results Recap

Eamonn Sullivan (bib #3) and Tommy Consalvo (bib #203) neck and neck at the 4.5 mile mark headed back into the farmyard.

Tommy Consalvo of Brookfield CT was the men’s overall winner with a time of 32:03. This is Tommy’s second Run the Farm and first win.

Eamonn Sullivan (32:16) of Cold Spring NY has won the Run the Farm four times in the past and he came in second to Tommy this year.

Ian Stowe of Stamford CT was third overall in the men’s race at 36:06.

Lindsey Felling of Fairfield CT won the women’s overall race with a time of 38:32.

Lindsey has won the Fall Run the Farm race FIVE times. This is her second Spring Run the Farm win. With 15 Run the Farm events over the past 15 year, Lindsey has won nearly half (7!) of them.

Lindsey Felling passing by the Bagpiper and the Beehives in the final stretch of the 2025 Spring Run the Farm.

Caitlin Burchill of Katonah was second in the women’s race with a time of 42:18.

Mary Vaughn of Brooklyn NY was third overall with a time of 42:26.

Kids Run the Farm – Race #1 (Age 7-12, 2k distance)

Aaron Albin-Lackey approaching the finish in the 7-12 year old 2025 KIDS Run the Farm race

Aaron Albin-Lackey (12) of Chappaqua, NY won the overall boys 2k race with a time of 6:53.

Emily Cullen approaching the finish in the 7-12 year old 2025 KIDS Run the Farm race

Emily Cullen (11) of Ossining, NY won her THIRD girls 2k race with a time of 7:27. She also won the 2024 Fall KIDS Run the Farm and the 2024 Spring KIDS Run the Farm 2k races.

Kids Run the Farm – Race #2 (Age 6 & under, 1k distance)

Jagger O’Connor (5) approaching the finish line of the 2025 KIDS Run the Farm age 6 & under race

Five year old Jagger O’Connor from South Salem wins the girls 1k race in age 6 & under KIDS Run the Farm race (and sets a new 5 year old girls and COURSE record!) on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

A course record means Jagger beat the time of every girl who ever ran this course since 2010. It’s been the exact same course each year with the only differences being weather. We don’t see course records falling very often — well done Jagger!

Nolan Coote Bonilla on his way to a win in the age 6 & under 1k Spring KIDS Run the Farm trail race in May 2025.

Nolan Coote Bonilla (6) of Greenwich CT won the 1k Spring KIDS Run the Farm in a time of 4:42.

Course Records

This year THREE course records fell. Jagger O’Connor set TWO new records with ONE run: She took over the 5 year old girls record and set a new overall 1k Girls course record, completing the 1k race in 4:43.

Bisby Felling set a new 7 year old girls record, finishing in 8:43. Bisby toppled our second oldest age group course record, taking over a time that has stood since 2011. The girl that formerly held that record is now a sophomore in college to give you an idea how long ago that was.

The Felling family took home a total of 4 pies on Sunday – Bisby and her mom Lindsay were joined on the podium by Brooklyn (10) and Finn Felling (3) who won age group awards for their fast times.

Muscoot Farm

We want to thank our gracious hosts at Muscoot Farm, especially Jonathon, Justin, Joan, Josh, Molly, Sara, Gabrielle, Nick, Mindy and everyone who helped out at the farm to get it ready for this first spring event.

Muscoot Farm is celebrating its 50TH Anniversary as a park this year. There is an event set for Friday, September 12, 2025. Come out for an evening gala event celebration! We will be there right with you all!

Sign up for the Friday Night Sept 12th Gala event fundraiser here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/50th-anniversary-celebration-dinner

Muscoot is one of the beauties of the Westchester County Parks system – in fact for the second year in the row, SIXTY-FOUR Westchester County Parks competed in “March Park Madness” — and Muscoot came away as the top park in Westchester for the SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. Congratulate them on their Golden Pitchfork!!

Muscoot is unique in its purpose and mission in New York State and possibly the country. The authentic 1890s-era historical working farm has enriched the lives and education of generations of kids. Many local parents (myself included) fondly remember going to Muscoot Farm when growing up in the area — and it is fantastic to be able to take our kids to the farm as well.

Volunteers

Activity Barn Volunteers Spring 2025 – more volunteers were out on the course and in the farmyard making sure stuff got done. Thank you!!

Thank you to all of the race volunteers who come out and help with the pre-run (aka Cobweb Crew, so named because they are the first on the morning trail, clearing the overnight cobwebs for the runners who come later), registration, setup, timing, handing out farm bucks and medals, distributing bagels, patching up injuries, making sure runners turn onto the correct trail, setting the course, sweeping the course, and cleaning up so other park visitors enjoy the same experience we all had.

Special thanks to Tony & Judy Godino who came out to help and ensure the race event went off without a hitch. Tony started this event in 2010 and has stepped back from organizing — but he and Judy still play a critical role in ensuring runners are on the right course.

The Cobweb Crew heads out at 7am to run the full 5 mile course before the event to make sure all of the course markings are still up. (this is a photo from the 2024 crew – we missed the start of the 2025 spring cobweb crew check!)

Photographs

We also had a team of volunteer photographers (Sawyer, John, Rob, Orion, Erika, plus Runner and Spectator Uploads) out there who took photos of you all (and your kids) on Sunday morning! Check all of their photos here — and check our archive of Run the Farm photo albums arranged by year all the way back to 2010!

If you have photos you’d like to share – and many of you already have (thank you!!), you can upload them using this link. Check out our runner-uploaded photos here.

Spring Run the Farm is part of the 2025 Trail Mix Series. Three of the races have happened, and there are four more races – all in the fall.

  • NEXT up in the fall when the series continues is Where the Pavement Ends (Sept 14th), a 4.25 mile single or 8.5 mile double loop through the challenging trails at Lake Windwing in Ridgefield CT.
  • After that next up is Paine to Pain trail half marathon (Oct 12th) starting in New Rochelle NY and winding through six towns and multiple trail systems in lower Westchester.
  • Fall Run the Farm is the penultimate Trail Mix Race (Oct 19th) back at Muscoot Farm in Katonah/Somers NY. In the fall the course goes counterclockwise (the opposite direction as the Spring race).
  • Raven Rocks Run on November 9th is the final race in the Trail Mix Series. It is at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River NY.

Sign up now for these challenging trail races in the 2025 Trail Mix Series!

All Trail Mix runners who complete the Trail Mix Series will be selected automatically in the Loop Lottery if they enter the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery in January.

Farmer’s Market

The Muscoot Farmer’s Market got into full swing an hour earlier than normal to accommodate our runners who were flush with running and farm bucks.

When we redeemed the farm bucks for real $ at the end of the day, the Run The Farm “Farm Bucks Top 5 Vendor” Champs of 2025 were 1.) Bear Mountain Coffee Roasters, 2.) Freshly Made, 3.) Pickle Licious, 4.) Zen Succulents, and 5.) Hummingbird Ranch

The Farmer’s Market vendors always love having the runners there — and loved the energy on Sunday!

The Muscoot Farmer’s Market has just kicked off this May and it runs through end of November.

Final Thoughts

We have many many volunteers who make this race a reality. Without them the race simply doesn’t happen. We invite you to check the volunteers page (we update each year as new photos come in for this race). If you know any of them say thanks ;)

Special thanks to the Westchester County Police for keeping runners and families safe when crossing the busy Route 100. Thanks to the cow herd – making sure everyone got farm bucks at the end of the race and the kids runners all got their finisher medals. Thank you to the cow-tographers Orion and Sawyer!

And as always, a big thank you to my wife, Ciorsdan, for always being there!

The Somers VFD EMS standby crew at 2025 Spring Run the Farm

An extra special thank you goes out to Brendan Porteus, Somers VFD Lieutenant and the Somers VFD EMS crew for coming out and supporting the race and runners. The Somers EMS crew has been coming out since Run The Farm began in 2010. They are always helping and assisting all comers. We a few twisted ankles and other scrapes. We hope everyone is feeling better now!

Lastly we want to thank the runners and families who came out to participate in this tradition. We are blessed to be able to celebrate such a great event with all of you.

Peace.

PS: Please let us know your stories from your day. We appreciate your feedback and consider it a gift from the runners and families to help us improve the experience for everyone.
