It’s not only the runners who must wake up early on race morning — the farm animals also have to get up on and get going on the early side.
A typical day sees the horses and cows crossing through the farmyard right around 8:30am. This happens to be the start time of the kids race — on the same trails! Fortunately, the farmers and the animals have agreed to bump up their schedule. By the time the races start they will be all set with some of the best seats in the house to watch the races.
