Run the Farm is a 5 mile trail race to be held at Muscoot Farm in Katonah/Somers, NY on October 21st, 2012.

Race start times:
-8:30AM Kids race
-9:15AM Run The Farm

Arrive at least 30 minutes before race start to park, get race bib, pick up shirt (if ordered), and get oriented and warmed up!

The race is put on to show off the beauty of the Muscoot park and to increase awareness of the weekly Muscoot Farmer's market (Sundays from May-October) and other local farmer's markets in the area.

Run The Farm Race Date: Sunday, October 21, 2012

We are pleased to be invited back to Muscoot Farm for a third year! The official date of Run The Farm 2012 will be October 21, 2012.

We will have the kids trail races first at 8:30am followed by the 5 mile trail race at 9:15am. The Muscoot Farmer’s Market will be in full swing by the time the 5 mile race is ending.

Run the Farm registration will open by the end of July 2012. We will send out an email to everyone on our list from the Leatherman’s Loop and Run The Farm past events. If you are not sure whether you are on that email list you can sign up again using the box on the upper right side of the website (or Click here). The list automatically eliminates duplicate entries.

Sunday Group Runs – A Year-Round Event

For those interested in trail running or getting into trail running we meet every sunday at 8am for a group run.

Check the Leatherman’s Loop site here for details on where we are meeting the next sunday. Or you can become a friend of the Leatherman’s Loop on Facebook where we also post details about the coming sunday run.

The group is friendly and accommodates runners of all stripes. We won’t leave anyone behind in the woods!

In most seasons we are centered around Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, NY where the Leatherman’s Loop is held. Occasionally we venture out to run other races or trail races such as Mudders & Grunters (March 25, 2012), Bimbler’s Bash (April 1, 2012), Where the Wild Things Run, (May 6, 2012), Paine to Paine (Oct 14, 2012), Gail’s Trail Run (early December), or the new trail run “A Mild Sprain” (May 20, 2012).

In the fall we shift over to Muscoot Farm and run the trails to check what new obstacles nature has placed before us in the woods in preparation for Run The Farm.

Leatherman’s Loop Lottery Begins January 9th

The 2012 Leatherman’s Loop Lottery opens January 9th, 2012 and closes January 16, 2012. We will be making the lottery selections on or just after January 23rd.

Next year’s Loop is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 at 9am.
